2005 Nissan Xterra P0345 HELP!

Postby mickenzyjoela » Thu Feb 07, 2019 4:34 am

Good Evening Guys, Long time lurker, first time contributor. I’ve recently had to switch out the camshaft sensor on the drivers side about 2 months ago. Went to Autozone and switched both out. About 2 weeks ago my X stalled on me and my OBD scanner is once again saying its the camshaft sensor on the drivers side. Disconnected and reconnected the sensor and put it back yet the SES light is still on. Any tips?

Welcome! The only problems I've dealt with the sensors are
1. Bad/cheap replacement
2. Connectors, especially. Check that all is as it should be. I have had broken wires inside the connectors from heat brittleness, as well as gunk causing poor connection. Couldn't get new connectors, so I had to get some at junk yard and cut and solder them in. Maybe others here know more?
