Hey everyone - I'm new to this forum. Have owned many unusual cars over the years, but my only real truck experience was a couple Jeep XJs. Just picked up this '06 SE and am trying to do some learning. Love it so far!

My only immediate plans are wheels & tires. I was gonna go with Cragar Soft 8, but I think I read that there might be caliper rubbing issues with those. So I'm looking for other inexpensive options now. I might stick with the factory wheels and try some different tires first also. Right now it has 255/70/16, and I'd like something a little larger without any other mods for now. Any suggestions on wheels and/or tires are welcome! I'll return with updates I'm sure.

I think stock tire for your model is 265 70 16

You should be able to go to 265 75 16 with no mods - and with melt mod 285 75 16

Crazy snake. It should be more polite and just ask for a beer.

Stock UK T-Spec 2.5

Ive a 32' LED bar to go in the front, wiring is done just need to pop the grill and bolt it on.
Found some mint crossbars OEM online cheap cheap and a towbar too.

Previous owner let it go a bit so rather than playing have been getting it up to gether, services, few repairs and im fussy so been swapping bits for shiney new.

Dunno next plan after all thats done. Was going to chip it, but some say due to mileage (126,000 ) not a good plan ?

Curt Roof Rack

Postby Mbryce1993 » Fri Aug 24, 2018 9:44 am

Just picked up the Curt roof Rack with the 30 inch extension. It was a cheap option from amazon but very sturdy and fits well. Made sure to put a coat of clear rust-oleum over all of it to avoid rust. Only complaint I have is the screws on the bottom of the rack scratch up the roof rails but overall it will hold up pretty well.

Id like to find a rack that attaches directly to the roof with a ladder over the rear door but that will have to wait till I can afford a custom job. The Curt rack will help me clear out the trunk area and give some room for my dogs on long trips.

Did you use a drone for some of this video Camo ?

Ive got loads of Gopro stuff, but not a Drone, which im thinking of the Karma
as I dont need another camera and it offers all the modes i like the sound of.

Looks nice and clean. Don't get me wrong, I love the VQ40 and still holds it's own with more modern engines, but I would have cool if they had offered the diesel version in North America as well.
