Cleaned throttle body and replace injector. now, high IDLE

Postby elcid » Tue May 18, 2010 6:36 pm

Hi guys.

I cleaned the throttle body and replaced an injector. Now, I have a high idle. I am not sure how to bring it down.

I tried lowering it from the IDLE screw, but it refuses to go lower than the 1000rpm it currently runs at when fully warmed.

I am just wondering if I am missing something or there is a speciifc way to lower the idle.

On a additional note, car takes several cranks now to just start up from cold or hot.

disconnect the battery to reset the computer and see if that solves it

Yup reset ecu, if that doesnt work, verify timing(after i rebuilt my enginer, i had the same issue, and notice my timing was off, set correctly i now idle at 800 or so rpm
