Off Roading Near St. louis

I am new to the forum and wanted to see if anyone lives in or knows much about the St. Louis area. I have a 2008 pathfinder and am looking for a place nearby to get the wheels dirty. Oh, I forgot to mention.......I am new to St Louis and that is why I am asking.

I live in St. Louis, so do a couple of other guys on the forum. This post http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=4528 was in St. Joe Park http://www.stjoepark.com/ about an hour or so south of St. Louis. It's mostly an ATV park, but it's a fun place to go sling some mud.

There is another place west of town that has trails that they let SUV's ride and there is a possibility that I might head that way in the next couple of weeks to check it out.

I'm not entirely sure. The guy I went to St. Joe PArk with and I talked about it. I'd have to check that out.
