Being that we are talking about Xenon HID lighting these days, I see that Nissan is offering Xenon Bulbs in the Mexican PF's as an accessory...I wonder if it's an actual Nissan supplied part and whether they are using the same light base as the halogen.

to me, it looks like a compact xenon bulb that is designed to fit in place of the stock halogen bulb. that said, unless both bulbs have the light emanating from the same point in the housing, you are going to get the problem with scatter that you would with a cheapo xenon upgrade from ebay. i would think that the engineers designed that xenon to prevent the scatter problem.

it would be interesting to try. i would expect the "white" xenon light, but i think it would be like driving with your brights on all the time... which brings up other points... do you lose your brights with this setup? do you get a ballast to power the bulbs? is the ballast built in to the bulb base?

I don't know the answers Mike, but I speak fairly good Spanish so I'll get in touch with one of the Mexican dealerships and get some further info.
