air lift 1000 installation

Postby ot333 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 8:28 am

After reading the reviews the air lift looks good but the instructions say to trim the rubber isolator in their instructions. Does everyone do this and how?

I didn't trim anything and haven't had a problem. Had them on for just over a month now.

If I remember correctly the instructions said to trim it for certain applications but not the Pathfinder. (The same kit evidently fits other vehicles besides the pathfinder).

Contradicting airlift instruction manual

Postby ot333 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 11:11 am

Thanks for the responses but it seems that I don't need them.
Air lift instructions page 3 says specifically that the pathfinder has to be trimmed. I called them and they said that was the case.
Subsequent to my post I noticed that page 4 discuuses this installation process but
does not mention the pathfinder at all. In fact it has the pathfinder listed under the regular setup.
I called them back again and they said "well we can't give directions for every car and ever year".
