Air bag sensor. Is it fixable?

Postby Black_pathy07 » Wed Jan 30, 2013 10:37 pm

So my airbag light has been on for the past month. Does anyone know how I can fix it without paying an arm and a leg at the dealership? Thanks.

Haven't done it on the path, but my 08 civic had a procedure to pull the codes without a code reader. Jumpered a couple pins on the OBD port, and read the flashes. From there you can figure out if its a fixable issue.

From experience, though, if clearing the code doesn't fix it, you probably have deeper issues.

Call your Nissan dealer or Nissan customer service (1-800-NISSAN-1) and have them check to see if there are any "open" campaigns or recalls for your vehicle. There was a voluntary safey recall for the front crash sensor on 05-09 Pathfinders for the front crash sensor. Refer TSB #NTB09-001. You can download a copy of it at:
