We have updated results for the Pathfinder to include owner experiences through September 30, 2009. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2008: 47, about average

2005: 133, worse than average but (as predicted) better than last time

In both cases the sample sizes are small.

A big thanks, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in February and May, hopefully based on a larger number of responses.

137 R51 Pathfinder owners now signed up. A good start, but more remain noticed to provide full results for all years.

Help provide the best possible information for your year.

So what does the data say?

See a few posts up for the most recent results. They'll be updated again next month.

Updated results soon. Only partial results for the 2005 and 2008 once again, I'm afraid. More participants remain needed to fully cover all model years.

Not yet signed up? Details here:

We have updated results for the Pathfinder to include owner experiences through December 31, 2009. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2008: 71, about average

2005: 108, worse than average but better than earlier

In both cases the sample sizes are small.

A big thank you, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in May and August. With more participants, we could provide more precise information--these results would probably smooth out more from year to year.

I can add my 05 Pathfinder. It has had past problems. (I'm at 60k now and most of the occurences were between 40-50K miles. Will it let me enter those past issues?)

You cannot report past repairs through the main survey, which is the basis for the reliability stats.

There is a second survey to add just about anything you want to add to your main survey responses, including old repairs. So they can included in your posted repair history, just not in the reliability stats.

Recently enhanced the related repair history survey so that it can (optionally) be used as a personal car maintenance record.

As always, more participants would be helpful. Updated Car Reliability Survey results in May.

We have updated results for the Pathfinder to include owner experiences through March 31, 2010. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2008: 87, worse than average

2006: 98, about average

2005: 85, about average

In all three cases the sample sizes are small.

A big thank you, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information--these results would probably smooth out more from year to year.

In a couple of weeks we'll start previewing the next set of results to participants. The preview results will be updated as responses come in.

My focus: how many model years will we be able to cover this time around? It depends entirely on the number of owners that participate.

We're currently only one or two responses short for the 2006, 2007, and 2008.

Updated stats in a few days.

Thanks to people here we will have partial results for 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 this time around.

Working towards full results for all years. Help make this happen:

We have updated results for the Pathfinder to include owner experiences through June 30, 2010. Other sources of car reliability information won't cover the more recent months until the summer or even fall of next year.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2008: 56, about average

2007: 138, worse than average

2006: 64, about average

2005: 60, about average

In all cases, and especially the 2007, the sample sizes are small.

Thank you, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in November and February. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

Updated reliability stats next month.

As always, the more owners participate, the better the information we can provide to everyone.
