SUPERCHARGER FOR V8 PATHFINDER

Postby dirtygirl660 » Sun Oct 20, 2013 9:39 pm

I have seen Stillen makes a supercharger for the V6. I wondered if anybody has heard of a supercharger for the V8. Thanks :D

man.....can you imagine ~387hp and ~371tq TO THE WHEELS??

best dyno i got (couldn't lock into 3rd though, so starts ~4.8krpm....need to get it done again now that i have a really good idea of it's behavior in 3rd and where it will downshift) with exhaust and bully dog was 276hp and 297tq to the wheels (with the larger tires).

since we can't lock ours into 3rd gear(or 4th?), make sure and take yours out on the road and figure out where your shift points are. for me what i did was on the highway i'd put it into manual/sport/whateveryourwanttocallit and put it in 3rd gear. then at different rpms i'd floor it.

what i found is that at 3000 or below it will always downshift to 2nd. at 3250 it will sometimes downshift, and at 3500 it will almost never downshift (like once out of 10 times)

then make sure and tell your dyno guy (unless you're buddy buddy and they let you do it) your results. otherwise you'll blow 2 runs like i did before i told him what the deal was (and he didn't start the dyno until 4800rpm which doesn't give you alot...).

i'd be very interested to see where you are as well. here was my 3rd pull (i had only paid for 2 pulls though) that finally stuck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uv9Uc5fPuvY

Does it fit on the R51 or is a new hood needed like Doc says?

you've looked under the hood right? you've also seen how tall the SC is too right?

i'm no mathematician, but i don't think that's gonna fit, bob. :)

I emailed Stillen again. They said its a direct bolt on. I asked if it would clear the factory hood. I did not get an answer.  :(

It is possible that it'll fit, as the valley and runners are pretty tall... removing those would get it to sit a lot lower.

if your thinking of doing this make sure whoever installs the system is very good and careful. a few people have had blown engines from the stillen kits.

It should fit no problem under the hood. Titan guys say that there is more room under the hood in the Pathfinder then in the Titan.
Engine sits more back on the Titans and Armadas, Pathfinders is more forward.
There is another kit available out there which is a pretty new
a 500 and a 600 HP kits.

GTM Motorsports makes it, here is their website link:

http://www.gtmotorsports.com/product.ph ... 258&page=1

Here is also all the info on it in TitanTalk forum:

http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-p ... lease.html

I decided not to go with supercharger long time ago. the engine is high compression already. unless you change pistons and make it lower compression you are looking only into problems.

I just installed my JBA Long Tube Headers. and I'm ready for Uprev Dino Tuning. That will be more then enough power I need.

Got any pics of the JBA LT's? I heard that the header needed to be modified because it makes contact with the UCA in some cases. So, antisocially, either the UCA needs to be modified or the header tube needs to be modified. (dented/bent)
