10 SE 4x4

Postby ZPOC RDY » Thu Jan 21, 2016 3:03 pm

Figured I should wait to post until I actually bought one. I had been wanting a Pathfinder for over a year now and in that time have researched various things and have been following this forum for the last 3 mos or so. I had been actively looking for one, ready to buy but they seemed to be pretty rare where I am. 6 total hits within 250 mi range, only 1 that was with reasonably price/ mileage.
My 2007 Kia Optima broke (and is not worth fixing) so I decided to check my local Nissan dealer (will share my awesome experience in the respective forum) and a 2010 came in THAT DAY. I lucked out and bought it that night. Brought it home last night and am all about it. 2010 Pathfinder SE 4x4 with both offered packages. Dark Slate Gray, which is one of the 2 colors I was hoping for.
Primary purpose is its off-road capabilities (never owned an SUV) and plan to get a travel trailer.
So, here I am back in a community and can't wait to put some off-roading equipment on it.

Saw it for the first time and test drove it Monday night and bought it then. Took it home Tuesday night. Didn't even see it in the daylight til yesterday. It looks even better in the sun haha. I work from before the sun comes up and travel out if town and don't get home til after sunset so this weekend I'll take more daytime pics while it's still really clean from being detailed.

Welcome and nice truck I have the same color. Check and see when it was built you may need to do the radiator bypass? I am not sure when in 2010 they corrected or improved the radiator so you don't get the cross contamination issue.

That's on my to-do list. I made a note to check the rad for the factory sticker to see if it was replaced and have the Carfax to see if it was ever taken it. It has 84k on it so I plan on taking care of this asap. I bought it from a Nissan dealer locally so hopefully they can share something with me that might clear up if it's been done or not. I do plan to use it for towing, so I'd prefer not to do the bypass, but can it be undone once I get a replacement rad?
