2004 Pathfinder Problems/Quirks?

Postby steelersgrl » Tue Mar 24, 2009 5:12 pm

Hey!

Never owned a Nissan or for that matter, an SUV before (I've always been a Honda Civic girl) but I'm considering purchasing a 2004 Pathfinder Chinook (cause I don't like any of the bigger Honda vehicles) and I'm just wondering what to look for in terms of problems/quirks? Going to see one tomorrow and just wondering what does everyone like/dislike about their 2004? I realize they're not the greatest on gas, but otherwise...great looking vehicle and I've heard nothing but good things about the powertrain. I'm really buying the vehicle to haul around my german shepherd and golden lab...I think they'll really like it!

Any advice/head's ups would be appreciated.
Thanks! :D

My pathfinder has been completely reliable, and the dog loves it too. Only thing I noticed is that my Bose 6-disc changer has a bit of morning sickness- when I first start out on cold days it likes to skip a lot. Not a big deal, and easy to replace (if I cared).
