97 Nissan Pathfinder Gas Mileage...

Postby mrgixxer6 » Thu Dec 17, 2009 6:01 pm

So what are some of the things i can do to increase my pathfinders fuel economy? I keep thinking about getting an open element air filter, got fresh plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter... Truck runs fantastic, just gas mileage sucks LMAO.. I actually think the pathfinder was originally listed for sale on here. I traded my golf for it. Gas mileage really wasn't a concern for me, but if i can get it closer to 18-20mpg would be fantastic.. Right now its 14ish.. It does have newer pathfinder 16's with off road tires, i'm sure putting street tires on there would help alot as well...

Thanks
Dave

I get bout 12-13mpg during the winter and 15-16 during the summer. I still have the original window sticker and my 97 was rated at 14 city / 17 hwy.

I dont think there is much for us to do to get better gas mileage....i might be wrong though...

i get about 220 miles/tank
