BLock Heater Cord and Plug In

Postby Mitch » Mon Nov 25, 2013 6:11 pm

I really need someone's help here! I have a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder, Canada version so it indeed came with a block heater! I have looked everywhere for the block heater cord or where the plugin is incase the cord is gone! Does anyone know where the cord may be coiled up, or where I can plug in my replacement cord? Im in weather of -30 to -40 now so I really need to get this vehicle plugged in!!

Thank you

Not sure on the Canadian models, but I worked for Nissan during the 90s in the US and it was sold as an accessory for Nissan vehicles. They were installed in the block hole for the freeze-out plug. On the trucks with the VG engines, they were most often mounted on the #1 (or right side) engine bank toward the rear of the engine. The cords, if left installed, were usually wrapped-up around the P/S reservoir or routed out through the grille, depending on owner preference. Aftermarket block heaters w/ cords for around $45 can usually be found with a Google-search.
