"How did you go about doing that?"

It turned out to be pretty straight forward. I got a can of spray Krylon Fusion for plastic at the local hardware store. They said it required no prep for a "superbond" to plastic. I was a little nervous about this but after almost three years it is holding rock solid with no chips or flaking at all.

I masked off the area to be painted and popped off a couple of little plastic trim pieces inside there. I then sanded a little bit with some fine grit sanding pads. After that i wiped it clean with isopropyl alcohol, let it dry and then sprayed it with the Krylon. I still have the can and it is about half full or more.

I got the silver "Textured Shimmer". I was also a little concerned about this being textured as it might hold bug guts or whatever in it but this has not been an issue either.

I've been wondering if that was a plastic cover or it was painted from the factory. I wanted to get some of that plastic car wrap film and put it on there so I wouldnt have to worry bout painting it. Thinking about going with a flat black film .
