How much would this combo cost?

Postby DickBush » Fri Nov 12, 2010 6:13 pm

I'm looking to put a 2" mini kit and a set of 285/75-16 Kumho MT's on my 2006 pathfinder. Ive done a rough calculation and gotten around 1 grand for purchasing this (not including shipping) and ive priced mounting and balancing at $50 at the garage in town. Ive got $1200 in my "pathfinder fund" and im wanting to know what kind of price i can expect for my pathfinder from when it goes in the shop to when it comes out (labor, tax, shipping, etc.). Any guesses?

You can go this route also...

Bilstein adjustable front shocks (give up to 2" of lift)

https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/bilstei ... -5432.html

and in the rear the rancho spacers (levels out the rear end with the front)

https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/rear-sp ... -6024.html

2 front shocks @ $90.00 each and the rear spacers @ $75.00 for the set.
You'll have a 2" lift for $255.00 and with the new front shocks the truck will ride better than just adding spacers up front.

Shouldn't you still change the front springs also?

You keep your stock springs with the Bilstein set-up. It preloads the stock spring to acquire the desired lift. I have them on mine and the ride is better than the stock ride was.

Nice. Nice. So you keep everything except the springs stock and theyre cheaper? cant beat that. Did you put them on yourself or did you have someone else put them on?

Here's my build.

I did the install myself. It's not very difficult. You keep every thing stock up front except the shocks. You re-use the stock spring on the new shock.

I am going to remove the rear OME (Old Man Emu) 2 1/2" lift springs and go back to a stock spring with the Rancho spacer due to alignment issues.
The front end aligns with out any problems.

That seems like a good idea with the adjustables in the front and spacers in the rear. Should make the truck level without any alignment issues front or rear. My problem is the springs in the rear of my 07 LE are a little to soft. So when i do the lift im gonna look into a stiffer spring if available for the rear and use it with the factory strut. I already have the airlift 1000 installed in the rear.
