How's the exterior paint holding up?

I've noticed poor paint application along the both sides of the rocker panels. I'll bring that up at the stealership next time I'm driving by or oil change.

Looking good here, but I expect that if I hadn't put clearbra on the front end, my bumper would be all chewed up by now. I've got quite a few rock chips on the leading edge of my rear fender that require touch-up, but its not chipping/cracking in those areas.

My '06 Pathfinder has lived outside of the garage about 1/2 it's life and has 45K miles on it.

The paint looks good -- just keep it clean and hand wax it every so often. The only scratches I have are a couple of small ones up on the fender/hood that look like someone laid something on it (like someone put their groceries up there in a parking lot or something) and a couple of small ones on the rear hatch where my wife hit the garage door opener while I still had the hatch open...

Now the paint on my wife '08 Nissan Rogue is chipping, but somehow she also has about 10 door dings in less then a year. The only door ding I have happened while I was out of town. My wife left a few days later and drove the Pathfinder to the airport… it got a little dent from a door at the airport parking lot. Looks like she has bad luck with parking lots

My '05 paint still looks great. A few, typical stone chips on the bumper cover and hood is all. I have waxed it 3 times in the two years I have owned it.
My Pfinder stays outside, thru the heat of the day, 5 days a week... And that is 41 100+ temp days since May 19th.

Couple of little scuffs on the paint here and there, but what else do you expect when you are out there with a million idiots dinging the doors or bumpers. They open their car door and BAM! There goes a scratch.

Nothing big, but got the rear hatch (or part of it) repainted under warranty, since the paint chipped under the handle..

I have an 05 and have noticed the paint flaking off in the rain channels on the roof and also around the windshield. Seems like poor paint adhesion. Of course its out of waranty but I think I will run it by a dealer anyways.

Couple small scratches in the clearcoat due to the kids but overall Havent waxed it at all and it still looks like new ... well it does get to be in the garage !!

Mine is an 06 with 56000kms on it ... the biggest problem with mine is the "bush pinstriping"

caused by too much off road work .....

Aside from a few scratches or scuffs where I've attempted impromptu landscape modification and some very light brush pinstripes, the paint is holding up fine for me after 1 year.

When I detail the truck, usually every couple of months, I use a synthetic clear-coat polish/sealer and then two applications of wax. It really makes the truck shine, and helps prevent most pinstripes. I also try to make sure I at least start-off with a clean truck when off-roading to try to minimize the amount of friction caused if I do rub against something.

But in terms of OEM paint quality, I've got no complaints so far.

I'm in the boat!! If it wasn't for the idiots my paint would still be top condition. Suggestion: TurtleWax Ice. This is the best stuff I've used so far. Bonds to the clearcoat, hides the slight imperfections, and goes a long time between waxings.

I have heard about that stuff, but I am a Zymol man when it comes to waxing the Pathfinder. I love that stuff.
