Came across this very informative post on a Nissan Navara user forum. I was able to do a memory reset on the audio head unit on my 2012 PF (it was not able to remember clock and mileage settings, they reset each time I restarted the engine - and removing fuses did not help).

Diagnostic Test Mode II (Self-diagnostic Results) - The Peddle Dance
1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch ON and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following procedure quickly five times within 5 seconds.
3. Fully depress the accelerator pedal.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
5. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the MI starts blinking.
6. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
— ECM has entered to Diagnostic Test Mode II (Self-diagnostic results).
7. The MIL will flash codes or 0-0-0 for no fault found.
8. To CLEAR the codes you then hold down the accelerator peddle for more than 10 seconds, and confirm code 0-0-0 is displayed.
9. Switch Ignition off to exit

YD25 Also carries out Fuel Pump Learning Value Clearing when codes are cleared by holding down accelerator peddle for 10 seconds in diagnostic mode.

IPDM Intelligent Power Distribution Module (the hidden fuse box) Auto Active Test
NOTE: When auto active test is performed with hood opened, sprinkle water on windshield beforehand.

â— In auto active test mode, operation inspection can be performed when IPDM E/R sends a drive signal to the following systems:
– *Rear window defogger
– *Front wiper

– *Tail lamps, front fog lamps, parking lamps and license plate lamps

– *Headlamps (HI, LO)

– *A/C compressor (magnetic clutch)

– *Cooling fan
– *Oil pressure warning lamp


1. Close hood and All doors except drivers, and then lift wiper arms away from windshield (to prevent glass damage by wiper operation).
2. Turn ignition switch OFF.
3. Turn ignition switch ON and, within 20 seconds, press driver's door switch 10 times (The door sensor switch in the arch).
4. Then turn ignition switch OFF.
5. Turn ignition switch ON within 10 seconds after ignition switch OFF.
6. When auto active test mode is actuated, oil pressure warning lamp starts blinking.
7. After a series of operations is repeated three times, auto active test is completed. 
NOTE: 
When auto active test mode has to be cancelled halfway, turn ignition switch OFF. 


Sequence:
1. Rear window defogger 10 seconds
2. Front wiper LO 5 seconds → HI 5 seconds
3. Tail lamps, front fog lamps, parking lamps, license plate lamps 10 seconds
4. Headlamps LO 10 seconds → HI ON-OFF 5 times
5. A/C compressor ON-OFF 5 times
6. Cooling fan LO 5 seconds → HI 5 seconds




Self-Diagnosis Mode of Combination Meter
The following items can be checked during self-diagnosis mode.
◠*Sweep of gauges pointer 
◠*Present gauge data values 
◠*Odo/trip meter display and clock display segments 
◠*Condition of warning lamps/indicator lamps controlled by unified meter control unit 
◠*Battery voltage 
◠*Driver's seat belt buckle switch status 
◠*CPU of unified meter control unit status 


OPERATION PROCEDURE
To initiate combination meter self-diagnosis mode, refer to the following procedure.
1. Turn ignition switch ON while pressing clock switch (left hand knob on dash)
2. Press and hold clock switch until “tESt†is indicated on clock dis- play (within 7 seconds after the ignition switch ON).
3. Release clock switch when “tESt†is indicated.
4. Combination meter self-diagnosis mode starts.
5. Press clock switch to go to next item. 



Navigation / Audio System Self Diagnosis (Secret Menu)

OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Start engine.
2. Turn the audio OFF.
3. While pressing the “SETTING†switch, turn volume dial to the left or right by at least 40 clicks. (When diagnosis function is activated, a short beep sounds.)
Press the “BACK†switch and the initial system screen will be shown.
4. The system diagnostic menu is displayed, and then the items of “Self Diagnosis†and “Confirmation/Adjustment†can be selected. 


There is ANOTHER menu hidden below this one, if you follow the same steps above when in this menu it will go to the ‘DETAILED’ menu with even more options.


Pre Face lift AUTO A/C System Self-diagnosis

Self-diagnosis must be performed at an ambient temperature above 10°C.
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Turn front blower control dial counterclockwise and temperature control dial RH side* clockwise at the same time and hold for 1 second.

*: For LHD models - Passenger side, 
For RHD models - Driver side
3. Release both dials and press AUTO SWITCH within 3 seconds.
4. Front blower speed indication on the display will flash until self-diagnosis code is indicated. (The self-diagnosis is performing during the flashing of the indication.)
5. Self-diagnosis code will be indicated on the display. (If no malfunction is detected, "00" will be indicated.) 


FACELIFT A/C System Self-Diagnosis

1. Turn the ignition switch ON
2. Press all three front air control switches, (AC Defog Recirculate) after 3 seconds all three switches will illuminate.
3. After the three switches illuminate, press the A/C and rear defrost switches simultaneously.
4. The blower bars will flash and the ambient temperature display will indicate 0° during the self-diagnosis.
5. Fault codes (if any are present) will be displayed in the ambient temperature display area.

OR Check the Confirmation / Adjustment Menu of the Radio screen, and look for a Climate Control Option which will run a self diagnosis (may not be there on all models)


FACELIFT A/C and AV Switch Assembly Self-Diagnosis - Check your buttons work..
The ON/OFF operation (continuity) of each switch in the A/C and AV switch assembly can be checked.

* Press the “BACK†switch and the “UP†switch within 10 seconds after turning the ignition switch from OFF to ACC and hold them for 3 seconds or more.
* Then the buzzer sounds, all indicators of the preset switch illuminate, and the self-diagnosis mode starts.
* The continuity of each switch and control dials (A/C and AV switch assembly only) at the ON position can be checked by pressing each switch and turning each control dial.
* The buzzer sounds and LED's will illuminate if the switch is normal.
* Self-diagnosis mode is canceled when turning the ignition switch OFF. 


4WD / AWD - TRANSFER SELF-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (WITHOUT CONSULT-II) Description

If the engine starts when there is something wrong with the 4WD system, the 4WD warning lamp turns ON or J flickers in the combination meter.
When the system functions properly, the warning lamp turns ON when the ignition switch is turned to “ONâ€, and it turns OFF after engine starts.
To locate the cause of a problem, start the self-diagnosis function.
The 4WD warning lamp in the combination meter will indicate the problem area by flickering according to the self-diagnostic results.

(A/T models)
1. Warn up engine.
2. Move A/T selector lever to “P†position.
3. Turn 4WD shift switch to “2WD†position. M
4. Turn ignition switch “ON†and “OFF†at least twice, and then turn ignition switch “OFFâ€.
5. Turn 4WD shift switch to “AUTO†position.
6. Turn ignition switch “ONâ€. (Do not start engine.)
7. 4WD warning lamp ON.
8. Move A/T selector lever to “R†position.
9. Turn 4WD shift switch to “2WDâ€, “AUTO†and “2WD†in order.
10. Move A/T selector lever to “D†position.
11. Turn 4WD shift switch to “4Hâ€, “AUTO†and “4H†in order.
12. Move A/T selector lever to “N†position.
13. Turn 4WD shift switch to “AUTO†position.
14. Move A/T selector lever to “P†position.
15. Read the flickering of 4WD warning lamp. 


(M/T models)
1. Warn up engine.
2. Move M/T shift lever to neutral position.
3. Turn 4WD shift switch to “2WD†position.
4. Turn ignition switch “ON†and “OFF†at least twice, and then turn ignition switch “OFFâ€.
5. Turn 4WD shift switch to “AUTO†position.
6. Turn ignition switch “ONâ€. (Do not start engine.)
7. 4WD warning lamp ON.
8. Move M/T shift lever to reverse position.
9. Turn 4WD shift switch to “2WDâ€, “AUTO†and “2WD†in order.
10. Move M/T shift lever to neutral position.
11. Turn 4WD shift switch to “4Hâ€, “AUTO†and “4H†in order.
12. Move M/T shift lever other than reverse and neutral positions.
13. Turn 4WD shift switch to “AUTO†position.
14. Move M/T shift lever to neutral position.
15. Read the flickering of 4WD warning lamp.

WARNING THIS WILL ERASE THE ERROR CODES WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED OFF!
The light comes on for 2.5 seconds blinks a number of times, with a 1 second pause between different codes. then repeats.
so _2 Seconds____——____———___ is error 2 AND 3


AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION Diagnostic Procedure
NOTE: Check AT Check light comes on for 2 seconds when ignition is switched to ON

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Keep pressing shift lock release button.
3. Move selector lever from “P†to “D†position.
4. Release accelerator pedal. (Set the closed throttle position signal ON.)
5. Depress brake pedal. (Stop lamp switch signal ON.)
6. Turn ignition switch ON.
7. Wait 3 seconds.
8. Move selector lever to the manual shift gate side. (Manual mode signal ON.)
9. Release brake pedal. (Stop lamp switch signal OFF.)
10. Move selector lever to “D†position. (Manual mode signal OFF.)
11. Depress brake pedal. (Stop lamp switch signal ON.)
12. Release brake pedal. (Stop lamp switch signal OFF.)
13. Depress accelerator pedal fully and release it. 


The Light will blink for every system it checks (17 Systems in this case) if there is an error detected the blink will be a flash in the sequence that its is detected. then repeats.

So if 0 is blink and 1 is flash:
0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 = Line Pressure solenoid Valve
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 = PNP Switch

WARNING THIS WILL ERASE THE ERROR CODES WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED OFF!
