Issues starting 1995 Pathfinder when raining

Postby absolut_davis » Mon Nov 19, 2012 3:14 pm

I have a 1995 pathfinder xe. just recently it started having problems starting. I have noticed that when it does not start it is or has been raining heavily. when it is dry out, it has no issue. Once started, it runs pretty rough. when initiating the gas peddle, rpm's rev very low, almost to the point of shutting off. Exhaust is unusually thick and white in color. After it has warmed up for about 10 minutes, all symptoms are gone and runs perfectly normal. I should also note that when it has issues starting, the engine is actually turning over but will not engage.
