license plate bulbs

Postby admiral » Sat Jul 17, 2010 2:39 pm

Have any of you gentlemen or ladies had to replace the bulbs from your license plate? I had to this morning and those two phillip screws are hard to get to. So I took a 10mm socket and a 7mm socket and gently pulled the inside cover from the rear gate. I found this easier that wrestling with two philip screws. It helps if you have nimble hands and don't wear a watch if your going from inside the vehicle.

lol, no. I just didn't feel like wrestling with the phillips screws or looking for a special screwdriver.

I did the same thing except I did not remove the light bulb covers. I just pulled the light bulb plug from the back(inside). Put the new bulbs in and sealed everything up. It took about 15 minutes.

I changed them today but the new ones didn't work either.

Any ideas on what need to be fixed?
