Michellin wiper blades suck!

Postby twinblown » Mon Jul 20, 2009 4:07 pm

I had bought them for my 05 and only after a few months they started to chatter in light to medium rain conditions, freaking annoying!!! Today I bough some Bosch, will se how they hold out.

If you're talking about the new frameless "streakfree" Michellin wiper blades, I have to totally agree. I spent about $30 for a pair for my son's Jeep Cherokee and the chatter like hell from the start. Total junk.

My brother recommended Bosch to me. I need to replace all the blades on my ride. I was torn between Bosch and factory...

Are the Bosch a direct fit? Can you post model #s?

I went with these in July 2008 and had not given them a thought since (which is a good thing, of course). I went with black, 19" & 24", and the fit is perfect.

I got them at Amazon for what seemed like an OK deal:

Wow, they are still fine after a year's use? I'm going to try a set, but no way I'm buying them from Amazon. It looks like TireRack has them at comparable prices, and there's a few other places returned courtesy of Google Shopping.

I never got anything but disappointment from Amazon.

I forgot PIAA made wipers...I have their lights and like 'em...I'll give it a shot...

It rarely rains here, but if I don't replace them it will rain buckets...

I went with the Bosch ICON wiper blades, they literally popped on in seconds and they are great! The rear wiper I just put a refill blade in since nobody seems to carry a whole replacement blade.

I've had the PIAA's on previous vehicles and loved them. You have to clean and wipe this Rain-X type film on your windshield. The blades are silicone and seem to work better than rubber when used with the chemical film you have to apply. They seem to last longer also. I think I had a set last close to 2 years on a Civic. I purchased them TireRack.com.

Got the Bosch for the Pathy over a year ago and they are still holding up well. I had tried the cheapo look a likes on my old car and they were toast within 6 months. The Bosch are definitely worth the price.

Gee, I've never encountered that situation before. I'm watching out for you in my mirror!

Trico makes a direct fit replacement blade. I think the part number is 12B.
