might be buying a pathfinder

Postby Tourbo24 » Tue Feb 15, 2011 7:36 pm

I currently belong to an audi forum and own a 1999 audi a4 2.8 quattro and I am considering trading in my audi for a 2002 pathfinder 4x4 with the 3.3 v6 engine. the dealer is willing to give me 5k for the trade in and i would have to add another 4k cash or so. the pathfinder has 113k miles on it, but when i asked him to look on the car fax for a timing belt job, there was nothing there. so here comes my question, is there a timing belt or a timing chain the the 2002 pathfinders? :) other than that, the car looks very clean inside and out, i fell in love with it once i saw it haha

edit: i think that it is not the 3.3 but 3.5 since its a 2002 model. does that mean it has a timing chain?

gatesD0Tcom has a booklet for timing belts and whether the engines are interference or not. see this:
