I have the Cooper Discover STT in 285/75/17 couldn't be happier. They are a bit noisy, but don't bother me none. Makes the path look like a monster. I did post pics in a previously when I had the lift and tires installed.

Here's a good option: Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac

This is the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac...it's aggressive looking but can be very tame-- and very capable according to reviews.

It has great reviews from users...I read lots. Said it's even quiet and it's great in snow, ice, water and mud-- also on the road it turns/handles well.

Not too expensive.

Looks aggressive.

Looks like a good option if you want aggressive looks and great performance both on and off road for a good price. I think someone else here said they have them...and like them a lot.

video--Goodyear Wrangler Dura trac

Well, they might not be so cheap... (I saw America's Tire Co at $240) and I saw the Coopers for $154 somewhere. That makes the Duratracs almost twice the cost sorry for that....

and also I linked you in the last message to the wrangler tire with Kevlar...but the pic didn't materialize-- that's good.

BUt the first big pic I posted IS the Dura trac.

I'm comparing this one to the Cooper right now.

And actually, I had Coopers a while back on my old Bronco... they were kind of noisy, but they really lasted a LONG time...and did pretty well off road. I went to the McKinney Rubicon with them and they were no special tire...and cheap. Drove 'em on dirt, mud, water, snow, ice and dry road -- no prob. Even towed a horse trailer using them. they lasted about 60 more thousand miles...no kidding.

So, I imagine that the Cooper discoverer STT are as good if not better.

I'm still loving my Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. Buy them before Goodyear raises the pricing.
