So I went and did a test tonight, where my needle is in the picture is where it is from cold to warm, except when I get upwards of 2800+rpm while cold. It will move roughly a 1/4" towards the H. I have never noticed it because I usually don't get into that RPM range until long after I've traveled far enough for it to be fully warmed up if at all. I put around like a granny.

That is definitely odd. It would be nice to know what the range of the stock oil pressure gauge reports. Maybe a post over at nissanhelp.com and one of the Tech's can look it up?

I get the same mpg pretty much. In-fact last night the meter said 12.9. But once you figure in the correction for your tire size it goes up I bet to near 16-17 territory. But I do like how the MPG is posted next to your ODO. I have to flip through the on-board display system to find mine. I think I would rather have it your way or at-least they could have ditched two of the 4 trip ODO's in my model and made something easier.

Ha, mileage, yea, its low. I try to drive it once every two or three weeks at-least down to Home Depot or my buddies house 15 mins away or so. But primarily road trippin. My battery is going to pot because of the low driving though.

Not to get completely off topic, but does anyone know of a way to cancel the stupid low fuel warning? I have my odometer switched to trip A at all times, but when the fuel in the gas tank hits a certain level, it then switches the display to the blinking dte. Drives me nuts.

Is it the small trip odo that does that or the large info screen? I can't say that I've ever seen either of mine do that but I typically am not specifically looking for it. That or I am already watching the big display waiting for it to report all X's then I know I should get gas in the next 30 or so miles.

I only use Nissan OEM filters, and I run Mobil 1, 5W-30. Again, I have the low pressure at idle, but rock solid around mid-range at any RPM above idle.

Fofiddy, anything every come from this? Last couple of months, my Pathfinder has been experiancing the same thing. Needles are in the exact position as your pictures. At idle, the needle is pretty low, but once i touch the gas, it settles up to 1/2 way.

Always use Nissan Oil filter with Mobil1 5W-30.

From some reading this low oil pressure at idle isn't normal but is likely caused by an incorrect reading from the oil sending unit and can be fixed by replacing that sensor;

'Oil pressure sending unit' Part no: 25070-CD000

http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/ ... gory_Code=

This PF has always shown pressure at idle with the needle pointing to just at the bottom of the 'oil drop'.
