Never EVAR take what the Auto Zone or any other independent shop tells you as the truth. Not that they are specifically lying to you but the scanners all report different information unless tuned for your specific Manu. It looks like their scanner was close but many times it can be pretty far off.

P0263 Cylinder 1 Contribution/Balance Fault

That is the Nissan Specific code. Now I suggest downloading the Service Manual for your year, specifically the ec (electronic or engine controls, can't remember) section and finding DTC 0263 in it and reading about it. It will tell you all levels of diagnostics procedures to follow with and with-out a Consult II programmer.

At-least you're heading in the correct direction. I found it on page 383 of the manual I have for the 05. DTC P0462, P0463 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. Seems to be a fairly common DTC error among all Nissan's. Good luck and post what you find.

haven't found much on this code I still the SES light but in no rush it does make the dte reading act al funky but none the less I pressume a visit to the dealer will be happenning soon ...if they they get ill with pricing for a damn sensor I might look elsewhere for a solution

Anybody has experienced this code on their pathy 05 to be exact...
