Rubber coming off the side step rail

Postby kev1n » Sun Dec 06, 2009 3:08 pm

I just noticed that the rubber part on top of the passenger step rails is starting to come off. What would be the best way to permanently re-attach it ? It looks like it originally was held on by double stick tape, but I want a more permanent solution.

Mine did the same thing.I stayed with the double sided tape solution but I used more strips than Nissan did.It works well if you clean off the area real good and start from scratch

I'd use the 3M red kind i find it works the best on everything i ever needed it for. It claims to hold stuff to brick so why not! Good luck

my passenger side side step plastic did the same. I was going to fix it but kept forgeting about it. On one of the trips it came off completely and I lost it somewhere :) the side step has some grooves in it and I figured there's no need for that extra plastic so I left as it is :)
