stranger isue

so i have noticed that on the last 4 tanks my service engine soon light comes on when im low on gas then turns off when i fill up... not sure what to think of this

Have you plugged a code reader into it? What did it say?

Autozone/Pep Boys will do it in the states, Partsource in Canada. My wife bought me one from the local surplus store, $60. Paid for itself on the first read, as the dealer charges $100 up here.

Also, the functionality is built into my Cortex Superchips Tuner.

Maybe the gas cap is bad

Or you could just do the self diagnostic procedure and get the codes for free.

autozone does do it for free. but i just seem to fill up befire i make it to autozone and once i fill up it goes off. so ill have to make it by someday.
