Pin Stripes

Postby cbacarisse » Mon Dec 28, 2009 3:42 pm

I'm thinking about putting a black or graphite pinstripe on my silver Pathfinder. Have any of you done this? Any idea how much it costs to do it?

I saw one of your white pathfinders with the stripe, I liked it a lot.

I don't want anything gaudy, just something to break up the wall of silver.

What color is your interior? It's usually best to use the same color for the pin stripes.

As for cost, I wouldn't pay more than $50. Your dealer will charge 4X that, but I'm sure Lake Charles has several trim shops that would be more than happy to do it for much less.

My interior is graphite. I am taking it tomorrow to have the side windows tinted and a brow; they said they could do it.

Mine are almost the same on my Grey Pathi. I will get pics later.

Whatever you do don't get the stick on kind! Find a place that does painted pinstripes... spray on not hand painted. Trust me its worth it and about the same price around here.

I dont see very many straight hand painted ones and i've seen alot of messed up ones also. I think the nice even spray will hold up better than brush strokes. Also the spay seems to lay flat and looks smoother. I see this kinda stuff everyday because i go to about 10-12 car dealers a week and i deal with all used cars so i see what happens to this stuff after only a few years.
