Postby Boof » Tue Jan 12, 2010 11:15 am

I have a problem with the factory handsfree in that i can hear people loud and clear but they cannot hear me very well, seem s to be a problem with the microphone.
any help or advice would be appreciated

If you have a Path equipped with Navi then go to settings->bluetooth and try to decrease (not increase, but decrease) mic sensitivity down to 4/5 or 3/5 and it will help.

Thanks for that Max, it seems a bit better, i think the main problem is the fact that the car is a right hand drive and it was obviously designed as a left hand drive as the microphone is on the left handisde of the car. I might have a look and see what sort of connection the microphone has and see if i can run an extention to the right hand side of the car. thnks for your help.

I'm sure they made it for the left wheel drivers, but as I know there is omnidirectional mic used, BTW let us know about your investigations. In case this aligned to the left you can simply exchange position (there is 2 vents - left and right) to aligh mic properly, I don't think it's neccesary to extent cables, simply to turn it to a 'proper side'. As my friend said - right county, right cars, right rules :-)

P.S. I'm left-handed, so I cannot be a British soldier at all :))

Max,
I have tried adjusting the volume etc. My understanding is that the vents are for the ultrasonic alarm sensors and that the microphone is behind the small hole at the end. I am trying to get hold of a workshop manual for my 2006 Pathfinder to see I can change the microphone. I did read somewhere that there had been a recall for mic problems but cannot find the article now. Has any one fiitted a Parrot handsfree to a Pathfinder with factory satnav etc?
