Aux Port for '05

Postby VenezuelanPath » Thu Jan 21, 2010 10:54 am

Hello People,

I was wondering if there is any cheap form of adding an Aux port to my Pathy

I have the 05 with Bose system, no Nav, and i would like to have the port to plug my ipod, nothing fancy just the plug-in

Thanks

I just put one in my 06 Pathfinder and it works very well. You have to have a RADIO or SAT button for it to work. I bought it on Amazon for about $70 and installed it in about 45 minutes.

Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00065 ... oh_product

Installation was easy too. It's all clips and about 7 screws total to get the dash apart, then pull the radio, plug in, and you are good to go.

Yeah, I'm curious too. I have a "RADIO" button, but no "SAT" button. This would be perfect to run my HAM radio through the stereo for audio. The way it's (HAM) current mounted, I have to have the volume almost to max just to hear anyone.

You have a few options, none all that great. Obviously, you could replace your stereo with an aftermarket one (around $200) or you can use a FM Modulator ($50-$75) or you could have a wired FM Modulator installed ($200). If it were me, and I wanted to add a AUX port with this setup, I'd opt to replace the deck.
