New Key

Postby KellyGee » Tue May 04, 2010 2:05 pm

Looking to purchase a new Key and Keyfob on ebay for a fraction of what they charge at the dealership...however, I will still need to have the dealership program it for the low low price of $45 :x
Two questions:
1) Will the aftermarket keyfobs (that have a Nissan stamp of course) crap out on me after 5 uses or will they hold together?
2) Will the dealership even program and cut the key for me if I don't go through them...I mean they think paying $70 for a key and $100 for the fob is a good deal. Something isn't adding up right for me on this one.

Your thoughts?

One of the local dealerships around here sells an aftermarket key for about 25 bucks. I would ask your dealer if they offer them also. as for the key fobs I ordered a set off of ebay and programed them myself. they seem to be holding up so far.

I thought the keys for the PF's had a chip in them. Does anyone know?
