2005 SE - Possible to disable panic button?

Postby JediNachos » Mon Jun 07, 2010 4:21 am

The panic button keeps getting pressed while in my front pocket. Just as I sit down, off goes my panic alarm.

I am hoping to find the answer, before my neighbors lynch me.

... I also prefer to continue having the ability to sit down. :P

im guessing u have this remote? cause the other type doesnt press easily:

get a quarter, pop open the two sides by slipping the quarter in between where the key holder goes, and open it.

remove the microswitch for the panic button, or just stuff sumthing there to keep it from pressing.

Yeah, I opened it. There's does not appear I can prevent it physically.

I'll call the dealer.

This is my first time here. Thought I would share something right away!

I bought myself one of these. It creates a little buffer, which prevents me from pressing the panic button, which I used to do at least once a day. Hasn't been a problem since.
