water dripping from rear muffler immediately after starting

so I noticed that all when I start up the car, water drips out of the muffler almost instantly. Any idea what could be causing this ? I think its coming from around the muffler or somewhere there.

condensation in the exhaust system/ pipe etc. it's normal.

usually when a mechanic sees water dripping from the exhaust, they say its a clean engine..

dunno if theres any truth in that

I think even dirty engines heat up the exhaust and then it creates condensation when it cools down, causing the water to drip next time you start it. Its more of the temperature variation thing, I think...

Never mind... watch the tailpipes of some cars immediately after startup... its not a drip, water pours from the tailpipe. I notice this particularly on buicks and other GM product.

Perfectly normal. And a good reason not to go with cheap exhaust parts. Moisture leads to corrosion!
