Transmission Problems

Postby paulohdz » Sat Jun 26, 2010 5:05 pm

Ok so I am new to the forums and I am having a hard believing that the transmission in 05 pahtfinder needs to be replaced. during the week all of the tranny fluid leaked, I started to do research and flushed the radiator to see that the fluid and antifreeze is mixed. does this mean that the tranny has gone bad? do I really need to replace it? I'm already replacing the radiator as this is the culprit of my problem. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

If the trans fluid did get into the transmission, than more than likely it is toast.. you can gamble and drain and refill trans, but there will still be water-anti freeze in the torque converter..trans fluid is cheap, give it a try and see what happens, Good luck.
