fuel injector cleaning

Postby Npath » Sun Sep 12, 2010 4:26 pm

Has anyone here done a clean yet? Dealer suggested I do one soon on my last visit with 55K km. on the engine.

Dealer wanted under $200!

you should have them grease up your rotator splints while they are at it. Honestly just run a couple tanks of high grade 93 octane fuel and pour in some of that stp fuel injector cleaner and you will be fine. This is an easy way to rip you off if you havent figured that out. If anything you should have the fuel filter replaced since that is going to be the first reason you are getting gunked up injectors if that was the case.
