Local Steel Prices

Not sure how interested anyone is in this bit of info, but I like to do a lot of side projects, the latest being modifying my smoker to work better, and I need to pickup steel from time to time. Yesterday I went down the nearest Metal Supply/Super Industrial Supply yard (everything from a 3/16" bolt to a Crane Truck) and plate steel and any other steel that isn't specially formed is going for 40 cents a lb. I also had to pickup 20 ft of 3/4" 16ga square tubing and that cost me $7.55

Figgered I'd post incase anyone was interested.

Picked up some 3/8" & 1/2" plate and some 1/2" Angle iron today at $0.50/lb scrap rate. Prices are going crazy with steel. :-/
