NAPA Maitenance Parts

Postby skinny2 » Sun Oct 03, 2010 2:55 pm

Just wanted to pass along that NAPA carries the cabin air filters. They're NOT the Gold product....just their basic line so the quality is not quite OEM, but not bad either. Price was only $10 compared to $29 I've found at the online dealers. They have about 4 less pleats and missing the soft cotton sides but fit nice and tight. I don't have a specific need for highly filtered air so doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

Also picked up their Gold oil filter for $3.95. I've used these for years on other vehicles including extended change intervals and have never had a problem. Tests show them to be the higher end WIX filter and similar construction to an M1. I'm running Mobil 1 at 7,500 mile intervals so I have no doubt this will hold up fine.

The Air filter was also a Gold and looked every bit as high quality as the OEM. Heavy cotton pleats and soft rubber seal. This was $14 vs $24 elsewhere online for OEM.

Just some FYI for the DYI's out there.

Huh, maybe just a factory thing? I think these were original cabin filters because I've owned it since 14k.
