Thanks. The letter still uses the "certain specific model year 2005-2008" phrase. It would seem that NOT all 2005's are covered. Certain VIN's in that year are covered. I'm just glad my is covered (cross my fingers) :)

I still find it strange that the first lady I talked to at Nissan Consumer Affairs said my VIN was NOT covered. Then, when I called the specific FSU hotline that lady said my VIN was covered. She went on to say if the dealer gave me any problems just to call her back. Maybe she just "tweaked" the database in my favor right then and there

:D jajaja about 45K here. What a croak of shit from Nissan to tell me it's "Extended Warranty to 72/72" ... it should be replaced if if fails at any mileage." :x

Recieved my warranty extension notice today. I have a 2006 with 40,000 miles, no problems so far.

To me, it's not a big deal when you think about the tranny cooler malfunction. Lets hope they'll address THAT issue.

Yeah, I'd sooner eat a $120 part than a new transmission and the grief that comes with it.

I just got off of the phone with Nissan and they told me that my truck was covered. they opened me a file and told me to fax my receipt to her for reimbursement. even though I replaced it myself they will still refund me for the parts.

I don't think you have to wait. I think all 05 models are covered. Some of the 06 models are covered also. Call your dealer and speak to someone at the service desk. They can look up your VIN and will know for sure.
Not all 05 are covered. I took it to the dealer and said yours is not covered.
I had private mechanic do the work on my 05 pathy got it done for $300.00 with the parts.

I had a check engine light last Thursday. I had AutoZone pull the code (which was 0463). Took it to the dealership on Monday fully expecting to have to argue about who should pay for the fix. Service guy looked on the computer and said "oh it's covered under warranty", since I hadn't seen the letter yet I had no idea what he meant as I bought my 2006 Pathfinder used in March of this year. I guess I know now.
