Spooky Seats

Postby phantom2 » Sat Oct 20, 2007 12:54 pm

I have an 06 Pathfinder, purchased new.It has been the most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned.I do have one strange problem.Whenever I unlock my vehicle, with the remote, the seat back always returns to the upright position.I don't have memory seats.Any thoughts on this spooky seat?

I always notice mine in different spots at times, I am thinking I am just bumping the switches when I get in , I never see or feel it move...just notice its in a different spot all the time ...

It's definitely very strange.I know, for sure, that I don't hit any switch getting in or out.

Do you have the seat memory option? You can program the pair of keyfobs to automatically activate each one of the seat memory positions as they unlock the truck.

phantom,

Do you actually see the seat move on its own when you unlock?

My '05 has the electric seat without memory. I have noticed that the seatback seems to "lurk" back forward over a period of a few days. I know that there have been times that my big butt has engaged the switches when getting in or out. I figured that was the cause. I have never seen it moving on its own.

BMX,are you insinuating that my problem is being caused by a fat ass and not some mysterious condition?I know everything is bigger in Texas, but I didn't know that included someone's ass.I hope you have a sense of humor. Thanks for your diagnosis. :D

Gotta love the Halloween posts.

I've never noticed my seats moving by themselves. Honestly, I don't think anyone could have that big of an ass to be able to move the seat up just by getting out of your rig!
