Got my letter today. Is anyone who did the bypass reversing it since the warranty is now extended?

i'm gonna stick with my by-pass on both trucks, because i don't want to take the chance on a transmission failure, even if they were to cover it.
my transmissions are fine, and i have very little confidence (as in NONE! :( ) when it comes to having anything repaired, let alone something as involved as a transmission repair or even replacement.
however, prior to expiration of the extension, i will check for any coolant residue in the internal radiator transmission cooler, and if there is any evident, will try to arrange for a radiator replacement.
beyond the extension, i'll probably buy new radiators and install them myself.

That's what I am thinking when he posted that.

I haven't received the letter yet but I had it replaced a few months ago. This covers all 2005's in the US right?

Since I have to replace my catalytic converters I'd like to get my money back for the radiator fiasco...

I received my letter today. Not sure how they're going out, but they're still going out.

I called the dealership that replaced my radiator today. Haven't received a letter, but I'm good to go. They told me to call Nissan USA with the repair order number from June 2010 and ask them to send a warranty claim application to the dealership. Then I wait a few weeks and I should get a check...

During the same call I told them I'm looking at replacing the catalytic converters and they informed me the warranty on those has been extended to eight years or 80,000 miles, so I'm saving another $500 or more if they're bad. (Which I'm pretty sure they are.)

Has anyone had any luck getting them to budge on the 80,000 mile mark. I have 81,000 on the clock, with a bypassed radiator and a trans than is getting worse. When I called they said I was passed the 80,000 mile mark. REALLY.... They gave me another number to call to see if they can help. Thoughts?

I got my letter too. I did the bypass so I'm not gonna sweat it. But it seems a bit like an empty gesture given the 80k mile part and the fact that I'm at 118k...

I don't mean to hijack a thread, but I hope my story will help other owners. It looks like I might be getting somewhere with Nissan covering the repairs even thought I'm past the 80,000 mile mark. Nissan Consumer Affairs has asked me to bring the truck into the dealer so they can diagnosis the problem, and then I'm supposed to give Consumer Affairs a call with the total cost of repairs. Fingers crossed.

So to undo the bypass fix or not, serious question....hmmm...new transmission...new radiator...intentional waste of what has been to now good solid hardware...arg...
