Gear ratios please!

I have a 98 pathfinder SE with a manual tranny. The rear end is on its way out. Nobody can tell me what the rear end ratios are. I've contacted dealers, junkyards, you name it. One kind soul suggested I register with a pathfinder forum. So here I am, in need of some help.
A friend of mine told me that all I need to replace is the third member. I've never had to do any rear end work myself, so I'm going in kind of blind. I could also use some guidance on finding a replacement part. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Read off data plate on fire wall.HG43 means 4.3:1, HG46 = 4.6:1 etc.I have 98 PR50 TD27t diesel 5speed with 4.6 and a 96 PR50 TD27T diesel Auto with 4.3.

My 2003 has 4:38 gears....
