Hey guys, so I actually did the bypass and i'm about to undo it because i found out my warranty covers it. on another note if you do NOT have teh warranty I suggest you do it. The only difference for the 08 and up is that you need about a foot of tubing which was in my case 3/8 and not 5/16. Also the tranny lines coming from the tranny is on the passenger side. make sure your hose fitting are tight so you dont end up with a burn tranny.

I've been watching the fluids and so far everything is super clean. I will do the by-pass once I go beyond the warranty.

Did anyone else notice Nissan's wording..." a crack in the radiator assembly might occur at higher mileages leading to internal leakage of engine coolant". Higher mileages?? So I guess if it doesn't happen until higher mileage...and 80k warranty is supposed to do much? I guess they consider anything beyond the standard warranty to be "higher mileage".

2006 Pathfinder

I did the trans / radiator bypass today...I have 86350 miles and I cannot afford $5k for a new transmission.

I took the bottom 2 hoses going into the radiator and spliced them together with a 3/8" barbed connector and 2 clamps. I capped off the radiator with 5/16" vacuum caps and clamps. Drove it around for 30 minutes..no leaks...Fluid is full and still looks fresh.
