Oh, I am the second french guy now :)

I have a nissan Pathfider V6 4.0L VQ40 DE since 2007, converted to LPG in may 2007.
After 35.000km (sorry no "miles" in europe), it works like a charm.
Before, I had a gazoil 2.5L turbocharged Pathfinder... 174HP only... too less for me, since mars of 2005.

After the LPG "prins" Kit, (the unleaded is very expansive in france),
I am looking now to a direct intake K&N kit... but it's hard to find it here...
I am also about to try some Denso iridium spark plugs. Some say it works great with LPG engine...

I am very pleased to join this great forum :)

Best regard,
Manu

Hi,

in france, the unleaded 98 is about 1.35€ per liter (1.9$) and the LPG is about 0.70€ per liter (0.98$) so the fuel economy is very good :)

I did not notice any difference in acceleration and fuel consomation (15-18L/100km) (after 20.000km with LPG)

anyway, the LPG kit cost 3500€ (4900$)!!!

best regards,

Manu

It sounds better then buying gas, but it will take almost 4 years to recoup the cost of the conversion. That's averaging a tank a week. It's also cleaner, so you have the good conscious of that.

For me, I just have to full up 68 times my fuel tank (saving 52€each time) so, 1.5years for me...

and then, about 30.000km (20.000 until now)

So You actually had a 2.5l Deisel and then traded it for the 4.0l gas?
I take it there were no performance products available for the diesel and no one out there brave enought to try to mate a Patrol's 3.0D?

I'm a huge advocate of diesel and very excited to be getting a few light duty trucks with diesels in them come 2010.

Yes that's it.
Now I have much more power and less noise, 850km of autonomy for the same cost usage of my 2.5Dci.
