Tribute

Postby The_David » Tue Aug 23, 2011 8:10 pm

Well I wanted to post this as a tribute to my Pathfinder.

Unfortunately we had an accident a few weeks ago, and now it was last seen in this condition:

I was going about 35 and he was probably about 40 when he slid into my lane. Front airbags went off, and the truck is totaled. Luckily my wife, I, and the 4 kids are good. The wife and I took a couple weeks to recover, but I think the Pathfinder did good.

The replacement?

An 05 Landrover. It seemed great on paper and is still cool, but we think we rather have our pathfinder back. I never thought I'd say this, but I think it's too much truck for the weekend "adventures" I do. We'll give it some time to see if it grows on us, but if not were back to Pathfinder!

Thanks for listening guys. This place has been great, and helping me care for the Pathfinder on the cheap.

My wife and I just upgraded our 2006 to a 2010 and couldn't be happier! I say stick with the PF.

Glad to see it did its job keeping you all safe. I foresee you back into a Nissan sooner than you think! ;)

Glad to hear that you and your family are ok. I had a 2002 pathfinder, had an accident and totaled her. People were suprised that I walked away from it without a scratch. Now we have a 2010 and could'nt be happier.

It's good to hear that you and your family were safe. Cars can be replaced, family and friends can not!

I'd say trade in the Land Rover and get another pathfinder, but that's just me. :D

Glad everyone was okay. Was he pulling off the road onto the paved area to the right and crossed into your lane?

Glad to hear everybody was OK. I had a similar experience with my 2005 Pathfinder only in that it was totaled. Although I have a 2008 in some weird way I miss the 2005.

I was rear ended by a Chevy Avalanche. The Path still drove OK but the frame was bent. Pushed the trailer hitch all the way into the spare and deflated the spare.

Thanks guys. yeah, for SURE i'm glad family is safe. I think it could have ended worse if I was in something less then the pathfinder.

AZ_Path; He was just taking the corner too fast, he did say he tried to run off that into that driveway at the last second as he saw me but it was already too late. I also tried to turn inside right when I saw him but that did not seem to help either, it happened so fast.

And yeah, yeah i knew i'd get crap for the Rover. After busting around in the sand, I have to say I will want get locking diffs ASAP for the pathfinder if I get one again.
