is your pathy lifted at all? if so how much of a lift did you give it and what brand of kit was it?

thanks, Devin
I changed the whole suspension with new/upgraded components:

1) coils (from ac) : https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/produc ... ts_id=1550

2) kyb front struts
3) rancho xl9000 for the rear.

It gives between 2 and 3 inch of lift.

4x4parts.com indicates that you must use aftermarket wheels with 3.75" backspacking with their coils. I noticed that you're using stock wheels. Any issues? Additionally, have you had any significant driveline problems with the lift? Specifically, driveshafts, CV joints, etc.?

Thanks,
David

Having the same contemplation

Ok, I have a 2000 Silver Nissan Pathfinder v6 4x4. I really want to do something to it. I just put in brand new alpine speakers and have that part looking nice. I just put some nice 60k Bridgestone tires on it as well and shock and struts from autozone, nothing special. The tires are somewhat big, so would it be possible to raise it up some with suspension? Also, I really want a nice Light rack with some HID lights on it, as well as a nice Grill Gaurd. I am thinking about getting a fog light and headlight HID conversion kit. Where do you guys suggest that I purchase these from. I am having a tough time finding anything online.

Full QX4 swap with custom lower Safari Bars being fabricated and powdercoated flat black. I'm building a big block Ford 429 as well, with fabbed mounts, fat-flat modified deep sump, modified Fox body swap headers and 3" exhaust through dual Delta40 Flowmasters.
I'm Looking for coilovers but may have to get a universal F1 car set and modify them too. It will be lowered 2.5 inches with 4 18x9 and 19x11 HRE 3pc Wheels. Body will be painted flat black black tint and have Safari rack on top and PIAA Rallye lamps all around. Not offroad but more Urban Warrior look.

I finally sold my wife's Infiniti and my 2 VW's so now I have the space and money to tear it down. So Anxious!! I'll def post specs and pics as the pieces are made so anyone else can get them done too.

FLEURYS--gorgeous car. Mine looks like that...stock..and yours is an inspiration.

Question about your front grill..I have the same grille..but mine has a small bar in front of the headlight...I think it effects the head light output..whereas yours doesnt have that thin bar

Thank you very much.

I removed those silly grilles this weekend. Hope my headlight output will be much better now

Rancho on an 2002 pathfinder

Postby Brnagain » Mon Jul 30, 2012 12:42 pm

Has anyone used rancho rs5816 and rs5815 as struts on an r50? Very little on web regarding the struts. How about the r5000 in back? Also, please let me know if think there is a better aftermarket suspension! Thanks very much!
