98 tranny problems...need info please.

It started out as a slight bump/jump as if it had a miss in the plug wires, it mite do it once or it mite do it a dozen times & seemed to do it as the tranny tourque converter locked up once after shifting into high gear.

I could turn off the over drive & it would stop tranny jumping, turn it back on & it resumed the stuttering, done this untill it killed the tranny, a week in the shop & $1,200 later for complete rebuild & new converter got it back 3 days ago, lasted less than 200 miles & tranny crapped out again.

Any one have a clue ???

Would replacing the distributer,plugs & wires be linked to this in any way ??? it started just after replacing these parts .
