You could be fine for a while then. If it was serious, surely the SES would be back on by now. It could've been bad gas, a misfire or other reason for poor ignition of the fuel causing a rich situation. I planned on replacing my spark plugs because I hadn't replaced them since I bought the vehicle at 50k miles and they looked pretty rough.

I sold the vehicle though so no more worries for me. Good riddance Nissan!

Come to think of it, I had to replace my spark plugs a few weeks after it threw the code for bad cats, so that may have had something to do with it.
