a/c blowing at idle

2002 Pathfinder se 170,000 miles
belongs to gf.
When at a stop light, the a/c quits blowing cold. when she accelerates (normally) it starts to blow cold again.
This seems abnormal.
I have taken a couple of trips in it the last couple of yrs and dont remember this happening.
any thoughts?

Mine was doing the same thing. Took it to the shop and had it out on the A/C machine. It did all its stuff and said it was 4 oz low on freon, so added that. Been great ever since!

Could be a low freon issue or could be a cooling fan issue.
