97 Pathy P0325 and P0505

Postby mknight318 » Sat Aug 25, 2012 8:43 am

I recently replace a cracked left side exhaust manifold and both O2 sensors. I had codes for the o2 sensors and a few others including the P0325. But that I have it all back together I have this P0505 as well. The idle is good at start but low after it warms up, about 550 or so. Enough that the radio looses power and he engine eventually kills the battery rather than charging it. Any ideas?

I found the issue, I think as it is running and I squeeze my fingers back there to the electrical connector I found that playing around with the wires the idle speed changes just so slightly. I moved it to where the idle increased, check on the tach and now I am at 750. Going to replace the connector as I remember it was slightly jacked up. Fingers crossed. P0505 code gone for now.

Yup connection made the difference. Also did the Knock Sensor relocate. Worked like a charm. Waiting for all monitors on the ECM to get to ready position. Not it is time for the p1447. Neverending.....
