2001.5 Pathfinder SE Auto Squeal

Postby Flock14 » Sat Feb 23, 2013 3:28 pm

Hey guys!

I started up my 2001.5 Pathy last night, and it made a loud squeal sound. It was about 15F out, and I hadn't started the car for probably 3 hours (and it was outside in that cold the whole time).

I had been to the mountains and a hair cut earlier that day, both of which would have also been pretty chilly (not 15F, but 20's for sure).

I assume it is just a belt squealing as it warms up, but I would like to make sure it isn't a serious problem. The sound wouldn't bother me if I know it is just a belt warming up.

Anyone else had this problem/know what is going on?

Thanks,
Brandon

Since our 3.5's have adjustable belt tension I would check the belt adjustment.
