sideview mirrors

Postby silverpath » Sun Apr 28, 2013 11:39 am

anyone notice their sideview mirrors shaking at high speeds? I just recently paid attention to it while driving around 65-75mph and it shakes pretty bad compared to my wifes car..... any solutions on how to fix this?

thanks in advance!

Nothing shakes on my 2012 PF, would drive me nuts if it did have a shake.

brand new tires, balance and alignment were done recently... and no shake from the car, it's just the mirror itself inside the casing. It is bothering me a little. I think it might have to do with the airflow since I notice it more after I had installed my hood deflector. Hmm, might remove it on my trip to Florida and see.

haha... yes I agree with you on the hood... I installed a hood deflector recently and seeing the hood move more than usual. might remove it and see what happens.

I had wondered if a hood deflector might help....apparently not. I had mine adjusted to where it only shook if I was flying and passed (opposite direction) a big truck. But after having some body work done it's back to wobbling around a lot any any speed over 65.

My hood has wobbled everyday since I bought my 08 two years ago. I always wanted to try out a hood deflector to see if it would stop, but from your comments above, it looks like they don't help.

No mirror shake here in my 08 with 75k, now the hood has been scaring me since day 1.

My mirrors vibrate from the wind, too. I think it's just cheap construction. Between that and everything else that vibrates and rattles, I consider myself lucky I haven't had a fender blow off on the highway.

This kind of sums it up:
